I bring decades of experience to the topics around gender diversity, equality, sexual harassment and the cultural expectations around gender which impede inclusion. In my talks, I use my experience from the military culture, humor and the engagements I have had with warriors who manage sexism to inspire action. I invite audiences to consider the everyday sexism we often tolerate because we lack effective tools to counter and reject the micro-aggressions which fuel disrespect.
The topics of gender or sexual harassment are challenging. Traditional diversity education presentations are lacking the effectiveness for cultural change. Facilitated discussions with teams provide a platform for a neutral third party to set strong focused parameters to effectively allow both sides to be heard and space to compromise on a committed solution strategy. Facilitated discussion can be between two co-workers, a supervisor and employee, two opposing groups of employees or even issues between customer satisfaction and the servicing employees.
